SID-ME Student Award: Call for contributions

The SID-ME Chapter Student Award is given for an outstanding scientific or technical contribution to research on information display. The applicant is a student (up to and including PhD student) at an institute in the SID-ME region and must be a member or student member of the SID-ME Chapter. The prize amounts to 1500 Euro, with the obligation to present the winning contribution at the SID-ME Chapter Spring Meeting 2014 where the award ceremony will be held. Application procedure

To apply for the prize submit a 2-4 page abstract with you as the first author and describing your work to the SID-ME Chapter Spring Meeting. The submission deadline for SID-ME Chapter Spring Meeting 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey (April 7-8, 2014) is January 31, 2014.

In the body of the submission mail, mention that you are a student and wish to participate in the Student Award competition. Also present your SID membership number.
By doing so, your abstract will be sent to the Student Award Committee, consisting presently of:

The Award Committee will verify that your application fulfils all requirements and assess the importance and quality of you contribution. The best eligible contribution will win the Award.
All participants will be notified of the decision regarding their application around February 15th.
